Art is Everywhere: A Collaboration Between Climbing and Creativity
“The Art of Climbing” is more than a T-shirt. It is a celebration of movement, strength, and creativity — a reminder that art doesn’t belong only in museums or sketchbooks, but lives in every part of our daily life. Created in collaboration with bouldering centre Project_ (@project_climbandboulderhk), this limited-edition T-shirt reimagines the climbing wall as a stage, where the human body performs a poetic dance of motion.

Inspired by Matisse: Movement in Every Line
The design draws direct inspiration from two masterpieces by Henri Matisse. On the back, five climbers form a circle in motion, an homage to Matisse’s famous painting Dance (1910). In that painting, five dancers join hands in a swirling rhythm of color and freedom. Here, climbers replace dancers, reaching and twisting on the wall. It turns the act of climbing into choreography—a wall-bound waltz of precision and grace.

On the front chest, a minimalist climber stretches in a quiet moment of preparation. This figure is a nod to Matisse’s Blue Nude series, known for its flowing cut-out forms. The simple shape captures the elegance of a stretch before action, resonating with every climber’s ritual before a route.

Wearable Art That Moves With You

Like the philosophy behind the award-winning Uniqlo UTGP 2024 T-shirt “Mona Lisa’s Onigiri,” this design continues the belief that art should be approachable, relatable, and part of everyday life. Whether you are an artist, a climber, or someone who simply enjoys a well-made tee, The Art of Climbing T-shirt connects you to a story that climbs beyond the surface.

Available in classic black and light grey, this T-shirt is designed for those who find beauty in motion and meaning in form. Every climb, like every brushstroke, is a chance to express who we are.
Art and sport are not separate worlds. They meet at the wall, in every stretch, every leap, and every quiet breath before you begin. The Art of Climbing T-shirt reminds us: art is everywhere, especially where you move.
